The group included Dr. Tan Gim Cheong, a professor in the Faculty of Science (FSc), as well as students from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Centre for Foundation Studies (Kampar Campus), the Faculty of Business and Finance (Joshua Tan Kwan Ming and Mary Ling Leun Kwong from the Business Administration programme, Zoe Wee Xin Jie from the Biotechnology programme, and Sie Shwu Yuen from Psychology.
With the aim of helping a family of orang Asli located in a village not far from Kampar, Perak, this project was mainly to provide chicks and animal feeds to the underprivileged families initiated by the Perak Elevate Life Society (PELS) and received the support from several UTAR students who were volunteering for PELS.
During the project's duration, I was tasked with the contents of the flyers, posters and event and was part of the editing team for the project's video. While there are not many examples that were saved from that time of the event, the content in the yellow poster as seen in the first picture were filled in by hand as a result of lack of resources and time during that period.
